Lunch box notes for him6/29/2023 ![]() ![]() Steve didn’t know why, but his face felt hot at that, suddenly off kilter now that he was alone in a bedroom with a drug dealer. ![]() “I’ve uh, been meeting people in the bathroom or by the pool so, this is a change of pace.” ![]() “Oh this is nice,” Eddie admired as they walked in. Steve rolled his eyes and led them away to one of the guest bedrooms to sift through the stash. “So, you wanna go somewhere and look at the stash or…?” He wiggled the box again. “Names Eddie.” He said with a grin and held out his free hand. “Ah, so you’re the one who’s been bringing drugs to my parties.” Steve accused, turning to face the other and pointing at the lunch box. “I can help with that.” He wiggled his eyebrows and wiggled a metal lunch box in his hand. “I said, you look lonely.” He repeated, getting just a fraction closer so he could be heard over the music. “I’m sorry?” He tilted his head to the side in confusion. “You look lonely, Harrington.” The voice was deep and caught him off guard, he turned to see wide brown eyes, a wicked smile and long curly hair. Scanning the crowd and deciding who would stay once the party was over, a few pretty girls here and there to keep him warm until they slipped out and snuck home before their parents noticed how late it was. He was standing alone, at his own party, drink in hand just people watching. He came in like a tornado during that senior year, all leather and sharp edges. Everyone would drink and do drugs that seemed to magically appear, until he’d met the drug dealer. He liked the noise, liked to fill the house with people so he couldn’t think. There was one vice he’d had in high school, throwing these massive parties while his parents were away. So, he stayed home and worked shitty jobs while everyone went out and lived their lives. He was the classic all American boy, he played sports, he played girls, then he got played, didn’t get into college while his friends did. For someone who used to be on top of the world, to suddenly be utterly and completely alone was quite earth shattering. To say that Steve Harrington was lonely would be an understatement. ![]()
